London based Brand Photographer with Online Yoga Teacher Annabel Jones | Hither Green
This post is all about my branding photo shoot with Annabel Jones, who is an online yoga teacher based in SE London. She’s been a yoga teacher for many years and trained in Vinyasa Flow Yoga at The Laughing Lotus in New York as well as at The British Wheel of Yoga. She co-founded Chaya Yoga Retreats, teaching yoga all over the world. After having children and going through some changes in her life Annabel is now helping expectant mothers with yoga as well as practising menopause yoga to prepare her clients and equip them with a toolkit for this next transition in their life.
ABOUT THE SHOOT
I actually met Annabel during one of my shoots with Selina Barker from Project You as she posed as the hand model for some book promo shots a couple of years ago. She also kindly offered her kitchen to Lacey from Lace Bakes for her branding photo shoot earlier in 2023. Fast forward to last October when she got in touch to book her personal branding shoot for her website refresh.
It was a no-brainer to do the photo session in Annabel’s home as most of her classes are taking place online and she has a lovely spot in her living room dedicated to the morning classes she’s teaching 4 times a week. You feel welcome and right at home in the space she created, which set the tone for our session and my editing later.
We’ve also come full circle as Selina was the model this time around to show Annabel working 1:1 with a client. I’ve really enjoyed our branding photo shoot and loved finding a way to incorporate her warmth, knowledge and calm demeanour in her images for the new website. It was one of those shoots that felt very organic and creative, so I’m happy to finally be able to share the results with you.
