Branding Shoot with Content Creator and Influencer Lace Bakes | Hither Green
This is a shoot I probably never forget as I Lacey was the first client I saw after my grandma died, just 3 days before and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer client. I was still quite raw, but also welcomed the distraction.
Lacey started her Instagram account Lace Bakes during the pandemic, getting into baking with sourdough not just out of necessity as all the bakeries were closed, but also out of interest. Soon her baking prowess got noticed by friends, neighbours and fellow SE Londondoners alike and she operated a mini bakery out of her kitchen, delivering her goods on her afternoon walks with her kids and adorable dog Penny.
After all the lockdowns, bakeries reopening and life returning to a somewhat new normal, continuing the baking and delivery service just didn’t fit in with the rest of her life anymore. Lace Bakes had ramped up quite a few followers in the meantime and Lacey still enjoyed trying out and creating new recipes, so she continued sharing her breadventures with the world.
About the Shoot
Lacey’s personal branding shoot took place in the kitchen of a friend and neighbour as she had more space available as well as offering plenty of natural light. As you can already guess most of her props were bread or dough related. The goal was to showcase some in progress tasks like kneading and cutting the dough, planning recipes as well as the finished product - the delicious focaccia. I also took lots of portraits of Lacey as she usually got more than enough bread, focaccia and dough content, but not that many images that show her. It was a lot of fun working with her and having the added bonus of getting a delicious lunch after the shoot is something I could get used to.
