Natural Company Headshots for Belu Water in London
Towards the end of last year, I met Natalie Campbell MBE in Covent Garden to take her photos for her Mayor of London campaign. This was actually through an agency I have worked with since the beginning of my photography career 10 years ago. Natalie is quite the accomplished woman, she’s a social entrepreneur, broadcaster and campaigner, she is also a founding director for The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We had a really interesting shoot, it was also great to see my photos across multiple media outlets during the run-up of the Mayor of London elections.
Fast forward a few months when I got an email from Natalie asking if I’d be available to take headshots of her employees at BELU WATER, an ethical water company known for its philanthropic ethos as it’s directing its net profits to support the humanitarian efforts of WaterAid.
The shoot day
It was quite a grey day to begin with at the end of January and as my style/approach is to use natural light only for the most part, we decided on the office’s kitchen/lounge area as a backdrop for the company headshots with its many floor to ceiling windows. The first half of the day was spent getting to know and taking photos of the BELU team. After that we a couple of hours photographing Natalie and her Co-CEO Charlotte Harrington at some of their client’s restaurants and around Borough Market.
Branding Photography for CEOs
With the team headshots done Charlotte, Natalie and I went to Brother Marcus at the Borough Yards as well as Rambutan, who are BELU clients and serving their water. The venues were great for some lifestyle branding photos, which is something that works well for social media, blog posts or some PR.
After a quick outfit change, we relocated back to the office’s terrace for some more portraits as well as some location product photos of the BELU range with their colourful bottles. At the end of our full-day branding photo shoot the 3 of us went to take some final headshots around the Borough Market stalls with all its hustle and bustle.
