Last year Carmen Sturdy released her first ever cook book. With Every Last Bite she’s built up quite a following with her healthy and delicious recipes for The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (short SCD), also including dishes for various dietary requirements like vegetarian, vegan diary-free, paleo and others.

Carmen first got in touch in early 2018 to get some on brand headshots, she could use across her website and social media. We hit it off immediately and working with her was an absolute pleasure. Fast forward a year and a half to the exciting news that her hard work and talent paid off when she secured a publishing deal and was in the midst of organising and refining her recipes as well as creating new ones to send off to her editor.

She booked me again for a series of branding shoots over the next 3 months to capture images of her in different locations preparing, cooking, serving and enjoying her tasty dishes to include in her book. As you can imagine it was a real privilege and I was more than chuffed to have my work featured in a book that was going to be published on such a big scale. Especially because I love Carmen’s work and some of her dishes have become my favourite things to make and eat (duh), despite not actually following the SCD.
